Accessibility: This is an active Coast Guard station. The lighthouse is not open to the public except by special arrangement and for occasional open houses. Good views are possible from the surrounding roads. There is a parking lot across the street.

Difficulty: Easy, this is a drive by box.

Driving Directions: In Chatham follow Route 28 to Main Street. Follow Main Street to the end. Turn right on to Shore Avenue. Chatham Light is on Shore Avenue.

BE OF GREAT CARE THIS IS A HEAVILY TOURISTED LOCATION YOUR BEST BET MAY BE AFTER HOURS OR OFF SEASON.

You may also save paying a hefty parking fine, 30 minute parking 9 to 5 during season.

CLUES: Locate the three tourist binoculars in the center of the parking lot across the street from the lighthouse. Now follow the walk to the right until you reach the stairs leading to the beach. At the bottom of the stairs, carefully proceed along the rocks at the bottom of the bluff until you are directly below your starting point. The letterbox is hidden among the rocks in this area.
